1. Extension Purpose

The extension helps Upvote.club confirm that a user has actually completed a task and accurately credits rewards.

Upvote.club uses this extension only to confirm engagement tasks that you choose to complete and to verify social media profiles. The extension does not continuously collect browsing history in the background. It only checks task-related or profile verification data when you start verification or complete an accepted task.

2. When Data Is Collected

Profile verification: Data collection starts only after you click Start Verification or grant the required Chrome permission.
Task completion: Data collection happens only when you choose to perform a specific Upvote.club task and the extension needs to verify the completed action.

If you do not start verification and do not complete tasks, the extension does not collect profile verification screenshots, page text, task completion proof, or task-related network proof.

3. Data Collected for Profile Verification

During a one-time profile verification flow, the extension may process the following data:

A screenshot of the visible profile page you opened for verification
The profile page URL and social network code
Visible page text from the opened profile page

This data is used to verify profile ownership and eligibility. It is not sold, not used for personalized ads, not transferred to data brokers, and not used for credit or lending decisions.

4. Data Collected for Task Completion Verification

When you complete an Upvote.club task, the extension may process the following task proof:

The completed action type, such as like, comment, upvote, repost, follow, save, or subscribe
The target URL and, where applicable, the public comment URL or answer URL
The text of a public comment or answer you posted for the task
Task identifiers, user identifiers, completion token, extension version, extension ID, signature, and timestamp
Network request or response proof related only to the submitted task action or public comment, where needed to verify completion

This data is used to verify the task once, credit points correctly, prevent abuse, and provide delivery proof for the task creator where applicable.

5. Local Chrome Storage

The extension may temporarily store limited data in Chrome storage on your device to keep verification and accepted task flows working:

Account connection data needed to use the extension with Upvote.club
Temporary verification state for tasks you choose to accept or profiles you choose to verify
Basic timing data used to keep verification secure and reliable
Temporary anti-abuse markers used to prevent repeated completion of the same task
Extension preferences and display settings

This local data is used only to operate the extension, complete verification, prevent abuse, and keep your selected settings. Temporary task data is cleared after task completion, timeout, logout, or extension cleanup.

6. Permissions

The extension uses Chrome permissions only to provide its single purpose:

storage: To store limited temporary data needed for verification, accepted task flows, and extension settings
tabs / activeTab: To identify the active task or verification tab and return you to the Upvote.club tab after completion
scripting: To show helper UI and run task or verification helper scripts
webRequest / webNavigation: To confirm task actions and preserve task parameters during supported task flows
host access: To work on supported social networks only when needed for profile verification or accepted task completion

7. Sharing and Human Access

Extension data is processed only to verify profiles, verify task completion, secure the platform, prevent fraud, and support the service. Service providers may process this data only as needed for hosting, storage, security, automated verification, or legal compliance.

Humans do not read extension user data except where necessary for security or fraud investigation, legal compliance, anonymized internal operations, or when you explicitly ask support to review a specific issue.

8. User Choices

You can decline Chrome permissions.
You can choose not to start profile verification.
You can choose not to accept or complete engagement tasks.
You can disable the extension button where the extension provides that setting.
You can uninstall the extension at any time.
You can delete your Upvote.club account as described in the main Privacy Policy.

9. Limited Use Statement

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell this data, share it with data brokers, use it for personalized advertising, or use it for credit or lending decisions.

You may decline permissions, skip verification, avoid tasks, disable the extension where available, uninstall the extension, or delete your Upvote.club account.
