Bluesky post preview

Fill in the fields and watch a live Bluesky mockup update as you type. Nothing you enter leaves this browser tab.

Three steps, no sign-up

  1. Fill in your details
Add display name, handle, text, link card title. Everything stays local to this tab.
  2. Watch the mockup update
The Bluesky card re-renders on every keystroke.
  3. Check every view
Toggle desktop, mobile to confirm the post still lands everywhere.

Why previewing a Bluesky post matters

Draft on one side and see the feed-style card on the other: avatar, handle, timestamp, the multiline body, the link card and the action row. The preview holds you to the strict 300-grapheme limit, so the post you copy is the post that publishes.

Bluesky counts graphemes, so an emoji or a flag is 1, but a link sent through the API counts at its full length. A link card shows below the text and takes no characters, which is why many posts keep the URL out of the body and let the card carry it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Bluesky post limit?

300 graphemes and 3,000 UTF-8 bytes.

No. The card shows below the text; only a URL typed in the body counts.

Does the preview show the action row?

Yes, with avatar, handle, timestamp, body and link card.

Is the preview pixel-perfect?

It is a close approximation of the Bluesky layout, not an official rendering. Real rendering can vary by device and app version.

Is my text or image uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is processed in your browser.

At full length when posted through the API; the bsky.app composer shortens how they display.

What is the Bluesky character limit?

300 graphemes and 3,000 UTF-8 bytes per post.
