What LinkedIn impressions measure

Impressions count every time a post was displayed; members reached counts unique people. The gap between them is frequency. Impressions are also the denominator of the per-post LinkedIn engagement rate.

The formula, with an example

Impressions = Unique reach x Average frequency; impressions per follower = impressions / followers.

Example: 2,000 members reached at a frequency of 1.3 give 2,600 impressions. With 5,000 followers that is 0.52 impressions per follower.
