How the Instagram earnings estimate works

There is no official Instagram rate card. A common rule of thumb is about $100 per 10,000 followers per sponsored feed post ($10 per 1,000), adjusted for engagement and niche.

Example: at 10,000 followers with 3% engagement, a sponsored feed post prices at about $263; at 2 deals a month that is about $526 a month.

Reels are priced above feed posts; a single Story frame is priced well below.

Typical sponsored post rates by follower tier

Nano1K to 10K$50 to $250
Micro10K to 50K$250 to $750
Mid-tier50K to 500K$750 to $3,000
Macro500K to 1M$3,000 to $10,000
Mega1M+$10,000 to $100,000+

Move the number

Raise engagement

Engagement plays a big role: more likes per post lifts the estimated rate.

Offer Reels

Reels reach beyond your followers and price higher.

Package deliverables

Dedicated posts and multi-post campaigns pay 2 to 3.5 times more per post.

Price add-ons

Usage rights and whitelisting stack on top.

What the estimate does not include

The estimate covers sponsored posts. Subscriptions, bonuses and affiliate income are separate, and real rates vary by niche and market.
