How to get your Instagram data export
- Open Download your information
In the Instagram app: profile menu, Your activity, Download your information (also under Accounts Center). - Pick only followers and following
Choose Some of your information, tick Followers and following, date range All time, format JSON. - Drop the ZIP
Instagram emails a ZIP, usually within minutes. Drop it here, or unzip it and drop followers_1.json and following.json.
How it works
Instagram lets every account download its own data, including the full followers and following lists. The checker reads that export in your browser and compares the two lists. Nothing connects to Instagram, no password is asked for, and the export never leaves your device.

The export is a snapshot from the moment you requested it, while the app shows live counts, so the two can differ.
Why did my ZIP fail to open?
Request JSON format and only Followers and following; very large full exports can be slow to read.
What do the lists mean?
Do not follow you back, you do not follow back (fans), and mutuals.
Can it tell me who unfollowed me?
Yes, when you compare two exports from different dates.
Why does it not ask for my login?
It reads the official export you download yourself, so it never needs your account.
