LinkedIn shows a document post as a swipeable carousel in the feed. Its own guidance for images is 1,080 px wide with an aspect ratio between 3:1 and 4:5, so a 1080 x 1350 portrait slide takes the most screen on a phone while staying inside the range.

What the tool is doing

It reads the pixel size of your file in the browser, draws it on a canvas, crops it to the shape you pick and re-encodes it at the exact export size. There is no upload request, and metadata such as EXIF location is not carried over.

Image shape and attention in the feed

Most LinkedIn browsing happens on phones, where a taller image takes more of the screen. A portrait 4:5 image is the tallest shape most feeds show without cropping, so it holds attention longer than a wide landscape one. The format gets the post noticed; the reactions it earns in the first hours decide how far it goes.
