GitHub Followers Checker

No login needed. An optional token only raises GitHub's API limit for large profiles.

How to check your GitHub followers

  1. Enter your GitHub username
    Any public profile works.
  2. Load the lists
Followers and following come from the public GitHub API, up to 100 accounts per request.
  3. Add a token for big profiles
Optional: it raises the limit from 60 to 5,000 requests per hour.

How it works

Without a token GitHub allows 60 API requests per hour, and each request returns up to 100 accounts. The checker checks the profile size first and tells you if the limit is too low. A token is sent directly to GitHub, kept in memory only and never saved.

What you will see

Not following back

People you follow who do not follow you.

You don't follow

Your followers you have not followed back.

Mutuals

People who follow each other.

Checker for now, tracker for over time

One check compares your lists today. To see who left, save this result as a snapshot in your browser and compare it with a newer export later: the difference names everyone who unfollowed and every new follower in between.
